U5 Trip To Shakespeare Schools’ Festival

On Thursday 29 September, Drama teachers Mr Godfrey and Mrs Scott took the U5 drama girls to the South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell.

The girls, including Ines Chamba-Friend, Isabella Farlow, Hannah Higgins, Grace Saunders, Naia Imevbore, Aoife Jones, Phoebe Khalique, Christine Knecht De Massy and Vasilisa Rodionova, participated in a two-hour workshop as part of the Shakespeare Schools’ Festival focusing on the Shakespeare play ‘As You Like It’.

They worked hard with the workshop leaders on bringing Shakespeare’s text alive and will using the new skills that they have learnt, the girls will now go on to perform in an abridged thirty minute version of ‘As You Like It’ in the PAC on Monday October 17 at 7.30pm. Admittance to the performance is free and parent and pupils are both welcome.

Alongside the performance at Queen Anne’s, the girls will also be performing at South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, on Tuesday 18 October at 7.00pm. Tickets are available via the Box Office by calling 01344 484123.
