Ambitious girls. Inspirational teaching. Exceptional outcomes.

At Queen Anne’s, we see girls excel, both in and outside of the classroom. The girls have ambitions as varied as their talents and we encourage high aspirations through an innovative and rigorous curriculum.

More than great results

Academic excellence at Queen Anne's is about helping every girl discover what she is capable of.

Small classes, inspirational teaching and individual academic support mean our girls are known, challenged and encouraged to aim high. Progress is carefully monitored throughout their time here, allowing us to identify where each student can be stretched or supported.

The result is an environment where girls have the confidence to ask questions, take intellectual risks and develop the independence they need for life beyond school.

Fierce minds aren't simply measured by grades – they're built through curiosity, confidence and ambition.

Known. Supported. Challenged.

Every girl's academic progress is carefully monitored throughout her time at Queen Anne's.

Nationally recognised assessment tools, alongside teachers' knowledge of each individual student, help us understand where girls are thriving, where they may need additional support and where they can be challenged further.

This allows us to look beyond headline grades and focus on the progress each girl makes from her individual starting point.

Monitoring and Tracking

A holistic tracking and monitoring process is used at Queen Anne’s to ensure that all girls are fully supported and stretched academically to help them achieve their full potential.

All students take test set and evaluated by the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM). These tests – MIDYIS (Yr 7, 8, 9), YELLIS (Yr10) and ALIS (Yr12) - are used to predict girls’ performance at GCSE and A Level in each subject. These predictions are then compared with actual GCSE and A Level grades achieved by the students to determine the Value Added at Queen Anne’s.
