Science Success for Lois

Friday 24th May 2013

Lois Britton, U4, has won a highly commended prize in the ‘What a Waste’ school competition. Lois won the prize in the senior age category for her invention ‘Burning Speed’ and her winning poster will be displayed on the British Science Association’s website.

The ‘What a Waste’ school competition formed part of the National Science and Engineering Week, the UK’s widest grassroots celebration of all things science and engineering which took place on 15-24 March 2013. The theme for this year’s competition was to challenge 5-14 year olds to design a product made partly, or entirely, of waste materials.
