Queen Anne's Hold Annual Careers and GAP Fair

Tuesday 17th February 2015

On Thursday 5 February, Queen Anne’s hosted a very successful Careers and GAP Fair, with over 42 exhibitors present from universities, GAP providers and businesses.

The evening was a great opportunity for the girls and parents to talk about prospective careers with representatives from a diverse range of professions including engineering, accountancy and the medical professions. Girls met representatives from over 18 universities and heard presentations from Oxford and Cambridge Universities, speaking about the Oxbridge application process.

The Careers and GAP Fair welcomed pupils from Queen Anne’s School alongside visiting pupils from Shiplake College, Kendrick School and Highdown School.

U5 Queen Anne’s student, Alayna Shrimpton, said:

“I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s Careers and GAP Fair; I received lots of valuable advice, which will help me make important decisions about my future careers aspirations.”

Following the Careers and GAP Fair, Iwan Hopkins, Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer at Cardiff University commented,

“It was my absolute pleasure to attend the Careers and GAP Fair this evening; I always have a great time at Queen Anne’s! The students and parents were lovely and asked lots of insightful questions.”
