“Peter Pan” Pulls in the Punters!

Monday 30th June 2014

Large audiences greeted last week’s Junior Production of “Peter Pan” in the Performing Arts Centre and the show proved to be a delightful and charming way to bring the curtain down on this season of drama at Queen Anne’s. The cast of over 60 girls in the 4s and U4s rose to the occasion and performed with energy, enthusiasm and obvious sense of joie de vivre.

The cast was headed by Katie (Peter), Frankie (Hook), and Kitty (Wendy) and all the girls who were involved are to be commended for their commitment, especially as it is such a busy time of year (a number of the girls were also involved in performances at the school’s annual Speech Day and Prize Giving on Saturday 28 June and LAMDA exams just a day or so after the curtain finally came down on “Peter Pan”).

There is also much to look forward to next term: two visiting theatre companies; workshops run by professional performers; theatre trips; a Drama Showcase evening and the House Drama competition. Our main production of the term will be the seasonal classic “A Christmas Carol” in December. Bah! Humbug!

Please see below for a slideshow of photographs from the performances. Thank you to Mr Ian Chapman for taking the photographs:
