Monday 14th March 2016

On Friday 11 March, Queen Anne’s School took a squad of 32 athletes to the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships. All of the girls were representing Queen Anne’s Boat Club at the championships.

Following a fantastic day of competition, Queen Anne’s came away with two Gold medals and a Bronze. Out of 230 entrants, Eleanor Blois-Brooke won the Year 9 Girls Category, beating Grey Coats Hospital by three metres! Izzy Richards also won by a convincing margin in the Year 11 Girls Category.

The Year 9 Relay Team, consisting of Marjolein Hewlett, Eleanor Blois-Brooke, Katie Jackson and Amy Howard won Bronze in their event out of 86 schools!

90% of the girls achieved personal bests and we are incredibly proud of all the girls who competed!
