First Success of the Term for Dramaramaland!
Thursday 24th April 2014
Former Head Girl and dramanaut extraordinaire Jessica Webber has every reason to celebrate as our summer term dawns… she’s just been offered a place at drama school in London. Jess, who left Queen Anne’s in 2011, went on to complete a one year foundation course at RADA then spent 18 months as a professional actor with the London-based theatre group “the Fourth Monkey Theatre Company”. She has now been offered a place at the Drama Centre London where she will spend the next 3 years studying for a BA honours degree in Acting.
Jess responded to the exciting news with characteristic effervescence, saying, “The Drama Centre was my first choice of drama school and I am so happy… I can’t believe it! Whooo-hooo!”
Rhodri Punter, Head of Drama at Queen Anne’s, said, “The Drama Centre is an excellent drama school, very “cutting edge” and modern. Its alumni include Simon Callow and Michael Fassbender… maybe one day they’ll be able to add the name “Jessica Webber” to their list!”
