Excitement in Dramaramaland…

Tuesday 29th September 2015

Our A Level drama class were recently treated to a Masterclass by RADA-trained actor Matthew Scott who ran an evening twilight session with the girls on techniques for creating devised drama. The work will be of great value when the girls come to create their devised drama for their A2 exam in a few months’ time.

The girls will be enjoying another Masterclass on Monday 5 October when professional stuntman and fight director, Mark Ruddick, will be visiting us. Mark has extensive experience of stage combat (his recent work has included stunts on “Skyfall”, “Warhorse” and “Captain America”) and he will be training the A Level drama girls in armed stage combat. It promises to be an exciting evening and members of Holmes House, which is opposite the PAC, have been warned that any screams coming from the PAC on Monday night will not be any cause for concern!…

Elsewhere in dramaramaland rehearsals are now well underway for this term’s senior production of Steven Berkoff’s intense drama “Metamorphosis” and girls throughout the school are currently auditioning for a gala charity performance of “Annie” which is being organised by the drama girls in the Sixth Form and is due to be performed in early February.
