Closed Weekend Fun At Queen Anne's

The first weekend of the Trinity term, Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 April was a Closed Weekend for boarders and L4 pupil Eleanor shared with us her experience of the action-packed weekend:

“This weekend we had a very busy and active time.  After Saturday morning activities we filled our tuck boxes with goodies from Caversham and then prepared ourselves for the afternoon ahead.  We had lots of different activities in all of the houses.  Wilkins had sewing machines where we could make bean bags and pencil cases which was great fun.  In Maddock we made bunting for our boards and houses which looks great!  It was really good to visit the senior houses where the girls made us feel very welcome.  In Holmes we made smoothies and cup cakes and in Michell we decorated eggs and made crispy cakes – amazing!  We all had a house meeting on Saturday evening after dinner where we were given two challenges to prepare for the next day.  The first challenge was to suggest 12 items to go in a time capsule and the second was to make a chant both to celebrate the school’s 120th anniversary this year.  On Sunday we had a glorious lie in with brunch and then a sports day followed by showing Mrs Harrington our chants and trying to convince her that our time capsule ideas were the best.  Sunday night we had brownies and hot chocolate before going to bed exhausted after such a full weekend.”
