Charity Dance Spectacular Raises £1,400 for Teenage Cancer Trust

Monday 14th March 2016

On the evening of Monday 29 February, the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) at Queen Anne’s was buzzing as parents, grandparents, teachers, pupils and children gathered to watch the Charity Dance Event, organised by U5 pupil Jodie Powell.

Following a welcoming speech, Jodie, alongside fellow classmates and pupils from all years, performed a fantastic display of dance performances, featuring all different types of dance styles. The evening also featured a stunning musical performance from Jessica Blakemore who sang ‘Hide Away’.

The evening was a great success and in total has raised an amazing £1,417 (plus Gift Aid), with all proceeds going to The Teenage Cancer Trust. The Teenage Cancer Trust helps to make a difference to the lives of teenagers suffering with cancer.

Congratulations to Jodie on a fantastic achievement and if you were unable to attend but would still like to make a donation to this worthy cause, please visit https://www.justgiving.com/QAS-danceshow
