“A Christmas Carol” is a Real Christmas Cracker!

Tuesday 9th December 2014

Bah! Humbug! If you missed last week’s senior production of “A Christmas Carol” then you missed a real cracker of a show!

The production, which featured some delightful carols, a snow machine and a whizzing toboggan on wheels, enchanted the audience each night of the three-night run and it was a magical way to welcome in the Christmas season. The cast were then invited to perform a selection of scenes at the Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party on Monday 8 December. The lead role of the miserable Ebenezer Scrooge was played by Sixth Form student, Alice Knott, L6, and she was ably supported by dramanaut veterans Rosie Dart, L6, and Caitlin Croke, L6.

Next term’s highlights in dramaramaland include the L4 production of “The Odysssey” (in a special adaptation by Mr Scott); a Drama Showcase evening; the House Drama competition; a number of theatre trips; and an A Level Drama workshop. The main production of the term will be the L5 and U5 production of the modern drama “Love and Information”, organised by Mrs Galmiche. Auditions for the Junior Production, directed by Mr Punter, will also take place next term.
