BrainCanDo Symposium ‘Autism: Window on the Musical Mind’

Wednesday 28th February 2018

A big thank you to the audience on Thursday’s BrainCanDo Symposium with Professor Adam Ockelford and Derek Paravicini. There was an excellent interaction, involvement and engagement with yourselves,  Adam and Derek. A very stimulating evening – thank you. Adam and Derek will certainly return to Queen Anne’s. Based on the success of Thursday’s event we will also have the opportunity to work with two important charities associated with music, autism and deafness: Soundabout and Decibels.

For further research associated with Thursday’s Symposium do consult two books by Adam:
Comparing Notes: How We make Sense of Music
In The Key of Genius: The Extraordinary Life of Derek Paravicini

Adam sent us this message on the audience participating in the evening “Quite genuinely, it was one of the nicest events we’ve ever done. So many of the audience engaged with the issues, and the fact that they were still there an hour later shows the impact that Derek had”.

Once again thank you for attending, as promised please see below a discount code for you to use for our 2018 BrainCanDo conference ‘Pathways from neuroscience to the classroom’.
