Music, History and Art Tour to Washington DC

Wednesday 18th April 2018

At the start of the Easter break, 35 girls from the art, history and music departments travelled on a joint tour to Washington DC, USA. The schedule included: visits to Congress, guided tours of the National Monuments, capitol buildings and various musical performances.

The school’s choir and the instrumental group joined together with the choir of Immanuel Church on the Hill in Alexandria for their Palm Sunday Service; together they were given the great opportunity to perform in the recital. The group also had a tour and sang in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. One of the highlights was for all of the singers to join with the amazing Howard University Gospel choir for a workshop and performance, which will be a memory cherished by the students.
