GCSE Art Trip to The Tate Modern

Tuesday 11th October 2016

On a bright and early October morning, 40 GCSE art students made their way to London and the Tate Modern.

The trip provided a perfect opportunity for all students to visit this incredible gallery, see works of art first-hand as well as explore the newly opened Switch House extension. Girls were divided into their teaching groups and took part in an interactive tour of the gallery focusing on still life works for the L5 year group and Surrealism for the U5 year group.

The works that the students saw will help them with their coursework preparation. The afternoon session allowed students to explore the gallery themselves and seek out works that interested them. A great experience was had by all!
