On Thursday 19 October, the U4 went to the Fortune Theatre in London to watch The Woman in Black, which they had been studying in their English lessons.
This summer Queen Anne’s Old Girls S-J, Katie and Lucy travelled to Kenya with the Kenya Lacrosse charity to coach the girls team in the hope of reaching the 2019 World Cup in Canada.
Earlier in the term, the Lower Sixth attended a lecture given by Professor Kerry Brown, Professor of Chinese Studies at King’s College, London.
On Tuesday 3 October, Queen Anne’s School hosted the UK premiere of The Gift of Song by Joep Franssens – a composition for two pianos: one pre-recorded and one live. The work was performed by Anita D’Attellis with Joep Franssens present at the concert.
On Wednesday 11 October, four Sixth Form girls travelled to Oxford University for a tour of the Structural Genomics Consortium.
On Tuesday 3 October, 12 members of the Sixth Form travelled to Emanuel School in London for the 2017 Foundation Schools’ Model United Nations Conference.

On Thursday 28 September, British poet Duncan Forbes visited Queen Anne’s to deliver poetry workshops for our U4 and U5 on National Poetry Day.
Yesterday was an exciting day for multiple Queen Anne’s students as they visited Reading University’s research centre. This is all part of opting in to our BrainCanDo research project investigating the dynamics of pupil interactions and the spread of motivation through peer groups.
