At Queen Anne’s, we see girls excel, both in and outside of the classroom. The girls have ambitions as varied as their talents and we encourage high aspirations through an innovative and rigorous curriculum.

Through inspirational teachers working in conjunction with motivated girls, we see our girls leave us as capable and confident young women prepared for and excited by the next steps in their lives. The girls discuss their academic options at every stage with their personal tutor to make appropriate choices to suit their aspirations.

Tracking and Monitoring

A holistic tracking and monitoring process is used at Queen Anne’s to ensure that all girls are fully supported and stretched academically to help them achieve their full potential.

We are known for our exceptional 'value added' with students achieving on average, 0.7 grades better than expected at GCSE and 0.3 grades better than expected at A Level (using the Alis test).

- Mark Richards, Senior Deputy Head - Academic

All students take test set and evaluated by the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM). These tests – MIDYIS (Yr 7, 8, 9), YELLIS (Yr10) and ALIS (Yr12) - are used to predict girls’ performance at GCSE and A Level in each subject. These predictions are then compared with actual GCSE and A Level grades achieved by the students to determine the Value Added at Queen Anne’s.
