On Thursday 1 February 2018, Queen Anne’s School was delighted to host the annual Careers, Universities and Gap Fair an over 40 representatives from the world of work, universities and gap year providers joined us.
On a cold and wintery January morning, 11 of the Queen Anne’s School A Level Art students left school to make their way to St Ives for a weekend of creativity and all things art, the 5 hour-train journey and weather didn’t dampen their spirits on this trip however.
On Thursday 1 February, Queen Anne’s will be hosting its annual Careers, Universities and
Gap fair. The evening will run from 6.30pm until 8.30pm and is a fantastic opportunity for
students from U4 to U6, together with parents, to start to consider the career path or
university that they might wish to follow or consider in the future.
Both the girls and boys from The Oratory School had a great time as they attended a dance together hosted by Queen Anne’s School.
Prefects, Lori and Fabie (U6) sat down and interviewed three girls, who are currently in the Lower Sixth, to talk about their views since joining the Sixth Form at Queen Anne’s. Caitlin, who is a boarder, Amelia, new to the school at the beginning of the academic year and Maya, a day girl, told their perspectives on Sixth Form life.
On Sunday 11 December, Mrs Townsend, Mr Morgan and Miss Rutherford took 14 of our Queen Anne’s rowers to their latest fixture at Radley with the aforementioned and Hinksey. They performed outstandingly, doing the school very proud.
Queen Anne’s wins the 2016 TES Independent Schools Award for ‘outstanding post-16 innovative provision’ for The Space which was designed to fulfil the philosophy behind its BrainCanDo educational neuroscience project.
