Giving a bursary place provides a life-changing opportunity for the girl concerned.  It also brings benefits to the school as a whole – we all gain from teaching and learning alongside exceptional talent and inspiration.

‘… the specific aim of funding even more means-tested bursaries’

To date, we have funded our provision of scholarships and bursaries largely from the school’s reserves, but we want to do more.  This is why we are aiming to raise money from donations and legacies with the specific aim of funding even more means-tested bursaries for girls with outstanding ability.

‘girls from all walks of life can easily fit in’

As well as providing an outstanding education, Queen Anne’s is a welcoming school where girls from any walk of life can easily fit in.  This is a feature of which we are justifiably proud.

Raising funds for bursaries is a long term operation.  It may take a generation to build a fund of sufficient scale to be able to help all those who deserve a place here, but we can start now.

Our short term target is to raise a fund of £1.5M, which will generate sufficient income for two boarding places with 100% bursaries.
