More Success for the Blossoming Queen Anne’s Swimming Team

Friday 4th November 2016

U12 swim report

The U12’s produced a really encouraging performance in a 4 team gala at the Abbey School. St Joseph’s, Newlands, Abbey and Queen Anne’s put a really good show on – producing a gala that ebbed and flowed from start to finish. Louisa Haycock and Claudia Mowat enjoyed individual victories for the A’s and Maddie Deeks claimed victory in the Freestyle B team race. Mr Blunt could not have been more delighted and proud of the girls. Six of the team were making their swimming debuts for the school. Great enthusiasm and potential in abundance. Louisa Haycock, Claudia Mowat, Isla Calver, Maddie Deeks, Lauren Stokes, Amelia Shaw, Poppy Winter and Gabby Hortopp swam their hearts out for Queen Anne’s School.

Results: A’s – Second Place
B’s – Third Place

Well done girls!

U13 Swim Report

Our U13’s made their mark on a great swimming gala at The Abbey School. Terrific team spirit shone through and a splendid set of results meant the A’s won their competition against The Abbey, Newlands and St Joseph’s. Harriet Seaton produced some outstanding individual performances and with the equally impressive Aimee Langwade, Georgina Lewis and Charlotte Goforth all in great form; the girls dominated their events winning 6 of the 7 races. The B’s were highly competitive and gave their all for one another. Georgina Woodall produced two amazing Butterfly performances – winning her individual race and contributing to the teams victory in the 4 x 25 Medley. Amelie Colls and Scarlett Rijkse hard work in the morning swimming sessions is paying off and Amelie Heap, yet again, swam impressively for the team.

Results: U13 A’s – First Place
U13 B – Third Place

Well done to everyone! Mr Blunt drove the minibus home delighted. Not even the heavy traffic could take the smile of his face!!
