QAS public speakers win first round of Youth Speaks
      

Queen Anne’s lower school and sixth form public speaking teams both won the first round of this year’s Rotary Club’s Youth Speaks competition.

For Hayley Broome (chair), Clara Strandhoi (speaker) and Charlotte Russell-Bruton (thanks) it was a first time experience, representing the lower school in a national public speaking competition. Competing at intermediate level, they took first place with ‘The Family that stays together’.

QAS sixth form A team, Afiya Titus (chair), Jess Moran (speaker) and Danielle West (thanks) won the senior category with ‘A threat to British schools’. 

Both teams will go onto the second round of the competition which takes place on 13 February.
