Gold medals for Queen Anne’s athletes
Queen Anne’s athletics teams came away with 26 medals and three trophies from the Reading Town Athletics Championships, on 18 June.
Competing against 10 Reading schools in U16, U14 and U13 events, Queen Anne’s won 13 gold medals, eight silver and five bronze.
Gold medalists were: Annabelle Akintoye, high jump; Caitlin Baty, 300m; Charlotte Gibbon, 200m; Nicole Haynes, discus; Olivia Paige, long jump; Jessica Pointing, 75m; Jessica Webber, javelin and Ellen Woodward, shot. Katie Belcher won javelin and 800m, Dieks Erinle won discus and 150m and Louise Gillman-Wells won discus, setting a new school record.
