Headmistress for a day

Following a successful bid at Queen Anne’s Scarlet Ball auction of promises, student, Alice Morgan, was appointed Headmistress for a day.
Alice, aged 14 years, took morning assembly in the chapel, attended management and House meetings, and led the main staff meeting. This was followed by lunch with the school’s newly elected Head Girls and School Officers and coffee with the Headmistress of Highfield School.
In the afternoon, Alice met with some new parents, who were visiting the school, attended a Student Council meeting and helped to judge the biology photographic competition.
Mrs Harrington, Headmistress, said: ‘It was a pleasure to have Alice working with us. She took on the challenges of her new role very competently and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the day’.
