Dazzling Performances At The Music Scholars' Concert

Monday 9th February 2015

On Tuesday 3 February, Queen Anne’s Sixth Form students performed a variety of pieces at the Music Scholars’ Concert.

The evening featured remarkable talent and a selection of sparkling performances including Natasha Canter performing brilliantly on both piano and saxophone, playing diploma standard music by Beethoven and Rae.

Gabby Woodward, Ellie Lyon, Sasha Eastabrook, Annabel Marlow, Laura Burnett and Ally Stewart-Ashley performed a range of vocal music from Pergolesi to West End show songs.

Mr John Padley, Head of Music at Queen Anne’s, said,

“The performances at the Music Scholars’ Concert demonstrated clearly how singing is such a strength at Queen Anne’s and that there are a number of exciting voices in our midst.”

Hattie Herridge and Isabel Zealley also entertained the audience with two contrasting flute solos and Alycia Lewis took us to the world of Jazz with her wonderful rendition of Dreams of You on the Saxophone.

Congratulations to all the performers who took part in the Music Scholars’ Concert.
