QA SOCIETY

OUR SOCIETY

Becoming part of the QAS Society is an integral part of life after Queen Anne’s and we are very proud of our alumnae community. Generations of girls who attended Queen Anne’s have progressed to be successful in their careers and personal lives, demonstrating the spirit of the school continues to thrive.

Since it was founded on Ascension Day in 1894, our alumnae network has continued to reach out and support former students, parents, staff and current students, all of whom combine to make Queen Anne’s a very strong community.

Being part of such an active community has many advantages: enabling members to reconnect with each other, broaden their professional and personal network, participate in a wide range of social events and keep up to date with Queen Anne’s School news.

We are always delighted to hear from alumnae. You can keep up-to-date with the latest school news via the school website, and our Facebook page.

Catch up on all the news over the years! See photos, familiar faces, and keep in touch with what’s going on within the Queen Anne’s community with the latest edition of the Queen Anne’s Magazine, available to read here.

We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions to include so please don’t hesitate to email alumnae.support@qas.org.uk if you have any information, questions or suggestions.

Preparations for the next edition of the Queen Anne’s Magazine are now underway. Please do get in touch if you would like to contribute by telling us about your stories, career highlights and successes, as well as life experiences.
Society news and events are an important part of this publication, so please let us know about any reunions or events that you have attended over the past 12 months, as it would be wonderful to include this information for others to enjoy.

The deadline for sending contributions is Easter 2019.

As part of the celebrations of the school turning 125 years, we will be holding a very special Reunion Day for Society members on Saturday May 18th 2019.

The day will provide an opportunity to get together with old friends and former staff, explore old school haunts, enjoy a guided tour of the campus (including a peek into our archives of old photos and house journals) and reminisce over good times! There will also be a short chapel service.

We would be delighted if you and your families would like to join us for what promises to be a very joyful day.

OUR CHARITIES

Queen Anne’s chosen charities for 2018/19 are Soundabout  and Samaritan’s Purse.

The former is a local charity that uses music and sound to unlock the potential of people with complex learning difficulties.

The latter is a non-profit organisation providing support, emergency relief and development assistance to people suffering around the world from war, famine, natural disaster, and disease.
