Lauren (U4) enjoyed her trip immensely and took the time to write the report below:

On Thursday 19 October, we went to The Fortune Theatre in London to watch The Woman in Black, which we had been reading in lessons. We left school around midday and had a very quick bus journey to London. As we travelled through London, we took plenty of photos of all of the famous places. When we arrived, after a quick photo opportunity outside of the famous Astoria hotel, we made our way straight into the theatre and found our seats.

Our teachers were really helpful making sure that we were in the right places. The production itself was intense, frightening, and full of many “jump-scares”! It was really helpful that we had read the book before watching the production, so we had a rough idea of what was going to happen. My favourite part was the ending as it was a big cliff-hanger!

After the show, we made our way back to the coach and started making our way back to school. However, the traffic wasn’t great on the way back so it took us much longer to get back than expected. Overall, the day was really enjoyable, and we all had a great time! It was a great way to end the half term.
