Senior Lacrosse Team Place 14th Nationally at National Schools Lacrosse Championships

Tuesday 7th March 2017

The senior 1st and 2nd Lacrosse teams were away this weekend at Surrey Sports Park competing in the National Schools Lacrosse Championships.

First Team

On Friday, the 1st team played superbly, winning their pool and successfully qualified for the Championship division. Saturday saw some tough matches against Moreton Hall, Godolphin and Caterham School before meeting Downe House in the knockouts. They played their best match of the year as a team but we unable to stop a fluent Downe House progressing into the quarter finals. The girls should be very proud and finished a very respectable 14th place.

Shortly after the match, some England lacrosse players who had been watching posted this most valuable player of the match selection.

Second Team

The seconds had 8 fast paced matches on astroturf and had to adjust to the speed and bounce of the ball, which they should be commended for. They had their strongest performance in their last two matches when their fluency of passing was at its best.
