Rose Hugh-Smith is looking forward to representing GB!

Thursday 31st January 2013

Congratulation to Rose Hugh-Smith, who has been selected to represent GB at the CDIP Vidauban Dressage Spring Tour. Rose was selected after gaining two fantastic scores of nearly 73% at squad test riding with two International judges in January.

Vidauban, France is the first big international event of the dressage season and attracts an extremely high level of ability, with the likes of Olympic gold medallist, Charlotte Dujardin who competed at the event two years ago. Not only are there junior ponies and young riders at the event, but there are also senior riders from all over Europe, so it will be a great opportunity for Rose to compete against the best in the field.

This will be Rose’s first time competing outside of the UK so she’s very excited to find out how they do things in France. Rose will also get the opportunity to watch the senior Olympic riders, including Carl Hester who will be tested at the event.

What’s next for Rose?

Rose has more international events to look forward to and hopefully selection for the Addington CDI here in England in April.  Good luck Rose!
