Thursday 19 January 2012

On Thursday 19January a great atmosphere filled the Queen Anne’s squash courts as the Oratory boys came to challenge the 1st squad. The team consisted of Ailsa Maclean, Alex Crowther, Laura Bevan, Holly Janes, Harriet Foster and Emma Little. Despite no one managing to beat their number one player, Stan Buiatti, who was eagerly supported by his Queen Anne’s sister Victoire, Queen Anne’s still managed to win 7-5.  Emma Little was commended for tremendous improvement over the season, culminating in wins for both her matches: 2-0. Holly Janes, Queen Anne’s number 4 player, was also commended as she beat The Oratory’s number 3 player in a closely fought match.  Overall, it was a great fixture as squash was played with high intensity and determination.
