Results (H) Swimming vs Kendrick School, U13

Wednesday 4th November 2015

The U13 swimming squad produced an excellent team performance winning both the A and B fixtures in great style against Kendrick School on Tuesday 3 November. Both schools helped produced a super gala enjoyed by all.

Mr Gary Blunt, Head of Swimming, was particularly impressed with the togetherness and spirit displayed by both schools and this helped create a terrific atmosphere in the Queen Anne’s swimming pool. A Team captain Olivia Mowat inspired all with her excellent organisation and captaincy, making sure everyone gave their best. Olive Richards and Amy McCall took the eye with some sparkling performances and were backed up brilliantly by Georgina Lewis and India Paton. In the end it was the whole group performance that led the A Team to a fantastic 71 -40 victory.

Niamh McKenna captained the B Team with great confidence and, with Harriet Seaton really showing her metal with two fine individual wins alongside two relay victories, this enabled the B Team to snatch a 61 – 50 victory in exciting fashion. Chloe Butterwick produced a powerful breaststroke, but it was yet again the whole team contribution that was so impressive to witness.

Overall match result, Queen Anne’s 132 – Kendrick School 90.
