Results (A) ESAA Track and Field Championships

Congratulations to the Inter and Junior teams who competed at Palmer Park against 9 other schools at the ESAA Track and Field Championships held on Tuesday 13 May.

The Junior competition was extremely close with the team claiming 4th place, missing out by just one point for 3rd place and only 4 points for 2nd place. The highest points scorer in an individual event was Annabelle, 4, who scored 21 points for her javelin throw of 21m and 39cm. Maisie, 4, scored 20 points for her 1500m run in 5mins 32 seconds and Zoe, 4, scored 20 points for her 200m run in 29.3 seconds. The highest scorer across both events was Zoe with 37 points from the 200m and javelin, closely followed by Bianca, 4, who achieved 35 points from the hurdles and high jump events, then Rachel, 4, with 32 points from the 800m and discus events and Annabel, 4,  with 32 points from the hurdles and long jump events.

The Inter team’s highest point scorer in an individual event was Bella, U4, who threw the javelin 25m and 6cm, followed by Abigail, L5, and Amy, U4, who scored 20 and 19 points respectively for their shot puts each landing over 8m. The highest scorer across two events was Bella, U4, with 35 points from the javelin and 800m events, followed by Abigail, L5, with 34 points from the shot put and 100m events and overall, the Inter team came in 5th place.

We now await the results from the Bracknell area to discover whether our teams scored enough points to move on to the regional finals.
