Results (A) Downe House Swimming Gala, U14, U12

Thursday 4th February 2016

Downe House entertained St Swithun’s, St Mary’s Calne and Oueen Anne’s in a very competitive Winter Swimming Gala on Wednesday 3 March.

Our U14 team finished a very creditable 2nd as did our U12 team. Two super consistent performances by both sets of squads containing 5 wins and 8 seconds over a 22 race gala meant the whole squad travelled back to Queen Anne’s very contented and happy.

Debutants Rosie Fricker, Amelie Heap and Amber Ingram contributed superbly well with Olive and Amber Richards winning their 4x25m Individual Medley’s alongside wins in the Individual Breaststroke races. Amy McCall yet again looked a super prospect and Aimee Langwade won her 25m Breaststroke in 20.90sec. There were a whole host of second places gained with Georgina Lewis, Zoe Campbell and Harriet Seaton being pipped at the post by fractions of a second.

It was terrific to see so many Queen Anne’s parents at Downe House supporting both sets of squads.
