Queen Anne’s Swimming Makes Another Good Impression

U15 Swim Team Report

A small U15 swim squad gave a good account of themselves at the Wycombe Abbey Invitational Swimming Gala. Competing against Berkhamsted, Headington, Pipers Corner, St Helens & St Katherines and Wycombe Abbey. All the team more than held their own with Amber Richards providing excellent leadership, swimming from the front as always. Special mention to India Paton who stepped in at the very last moment covering some last minute call offs.

Zoe Campbell, Sophia Ekundayo and Melissa Scanlon made up the remainder of a team that has great togetherness. Sophia had to endure two false starts in her individual race by a Headington swimmer. Sophia maintained her composure to finish a creditable 2nd place in the 50m butterfly. Mr Blunt returned back to Queen Anne’s delighted with the girls.

Result – U15s finished 3rd out of 6 schools.

U13 Swim Team Report

The U13 team is full of some amazing swimming talent. Competing against Berkhamstead, Headington, Pipers Corner, St Helens & St Katherines and Wycombe Abbey, the girls took a much deserved 2nd place. Harriet Seaton got the gala off to a flying start winning the Junior A 100m IM in confident fashion.

All the girls impressed and it was a super team effort from start to finish. Aimee Langwade, Georgina Lewis, Harriet Seaton, Louisa Haycock, Claudia Mowat and captain Olive Richards formed a strong group and will certainly continue to enjoy even more success in the future. Big well done to Claudia and Louisa who swam up a year group against tough opposition. Great job all!

Result – U13s finished 2nd out of 6 schools.
