Queen Anne’s Swimmers Excel Again in Fixture Against Newlands School

Saturday 4th March 2017

U14 Report

The U14 swimming team swam superbly well throughout a very enjoyable and highly competitive gala against an impressive Newlands School. Both teams were very well organised and between them there were lots of very determined and talented swimmers on display across all four swimming disciplines.

Olivia Mowat led the team well, which consisted of: Olivia Mowat (capt), Niamh Mckenna, Amy McCall, Jasmine Booth, Camille Blunt, India Paton, Jasmine Veitch and Georgina Woodall. Great stuff girls and well done.

Final Score: Queen Anne’s – 78  Newlands – 66 points.

U13 Report

The U13 swimming team enjoyed a terrific encounter against Newlands School. Every race was a keenly contested event with the Queen Anne’s girls just managing to touch the wall first, in many of the races, and running out winners. The format of the gala meant all the girls got lots of swims and everyone contributed to the teams success. Together Everyone Achieves More……TEAM

Mr Blunt was delighted that half of the team was made up from the current U12 squad. Great stuff!!

Luisa Brandon, Olive Richards (capt), Louisa Haycock, Lauren Stokes, Amelie Colls, Scarlett Rijkse, Harriet Seaton and Isabel Welch and all deserve a mighty high five!!

Final Score: Queen Anne’s – 80  Newlands – 64 points.
