Queen Anne’s Sports News

Monday 2nd October 2017

A round up of all the latest sports news from Queen Anne’s in the week commencing Monday 25 September.

Synchronised Swimming

Annaliese (U4) has been training hard with her synchro team and they have been very successful in their most recent competitions. Her team won a bronze medal at the National Combo Cup at the Commonwealth Pool in Manchester. They then went on to win a gold medal at the South East Regional Championship.

In Netball, the U12 teams faced The Abbey while the U15 teams took on Maiden Erlegh and had a tough battle on their hands.

The U13 Netball teams also played Maiden Erlegh and had a clean sweep of victories.

Berkshire Schools Lacrosse

On Wednesday the 1sts, 2nds and U15A teams travelled to Downe House to compete in the Berkshire Schools lacrosse tournament. The U15A and 1st teams both had a great tournament winning all but one of their matches and both narrowly missing out to Downe House to gain second place overall.

This year the first team is made up of 5 sets of sisters, which must be something of a record!

The 2nd team had an exceptional tournament winning all their matches convincingly and beating Downe House by one goal in a nail-biting finale.
