An Outstanding Evening of Music at St. John’s Church with The Oratory & Tamesis Chamber Choir

Thursday 1st December 2016

On Friday 25 November, the Chamber Choir of Queen Anne’s were given the opportunity to perform Handel’s Zadok the Priest, Haydn’s Insanae et Vanae Curae and the Nelson Mass in conjunction with Schola Cantorum of the Oratory School, choristers of the Oratory Prep School and the Tamesis Chamber Choir. They were supported by an orchestra made up of professional musicians, advanced pupil instrumentalists and former Queen Anne’s pupils, conducted by Louise Rapple Moore and John Padley. The concert was given in the splendid setting of St John’s Church, Hyde Park Crescent.

The standard of musicianship was simply outstanding and undoubtedly one of our finest concerts in a very long time. All involved in the concert are to be commended for their exceptional musical skills. The concert was very well supported and much appreciation was given to the respective choirs and orchestra.

A memorable evening was had by all in attendance and all those involved must be commended for a wonderful evening.
