Results of the Marlborough Invitational Netball Tournament

10 March 2013

  • Played six tough matches, but unfortunately did not get through to the semi-finals.
  • Commended: The whole team for great netballing athleticism and a superb competitive spirit.

The day started out well with a number of comprehensive victories, including Dean Close by  13-2. Our only loss in the opening rounds was to Bryanston School-sending us into the semi-finals as runners up.  A very hard fought match against Farmor’s School went to two extra times before Alex Crowther turned the ball over and the goal was converted.

Into the final-a re-match against Bryanston and although we lost, the girls fought right to the end and proved why they were finalists.

Commended:  The whole team were truly exceptional-playing with determination, great skill and demonstrating excellent sportsmanship to the end.  All gave a hundred percent and earned the victory as a team.

Well Done girls!!!
