Molly Performs at the Amsterdam Conservatory
Saturday 11th November 2017
Molly (U4) travelled to Amsterdam to compete in the Open Recorder Days held between 26 -29 October 2017.
Open Recorder Days is for recorder players and enthusiasts from all over the world at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Molly competed in multiple groups including The GEMM quartet alongside two other students from the Junior Royal Academy of Music, which she attends every Saturday and the Baker Street Band made up of players from the Junior Academy amongst other institutions. It was a true family affair in the Baker Street Band as Molly’s brother accompanied her on the trombone alongside the sister of one of the other recorder players. Both groups did extremely well making it through the first two rounds and playing in the final. The quartet were second in their category and the band were first.
Molly also went on to come in the 12 – 15 year olds solo category and put on a wonderful performance and was unlucky to make it through.
