Maddock Pupils Raise £1,900 For Make A Wish Foundation

Wednesday 6th May 2015

Congratulations to U5 students Charlotte Hedley and Anna Chappell from Maddock House who have raised a fantastic £1,900 for the Make A Wish Foundation.

The girls were inspired to raise money for the charity after watching a clip showcasing all the work that they do. The Make A Wish Foundation grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

To help raise money, the girls rallied support from members of Maddock House and in turn, pupils participated in running, rowing and cycling the equivalent distance from Queen Anne’s to Disneyland Paris, approximately 35o miles in total. Charlotte and Anna chose Disneyland Paris as this is a key destination that children, with a terminal illness, wish to visit.

Following all their charitable efforts, which took place at the end of the Lent term, the overall total of £1,900 will now be split between the Make A Wish Foundation and Cameroon Catalyst, the school’s chosen charity for the term.
