Maddie Becomes Our Youngest Ever NYT Success!
Monday 15th May 2017
There is yet more fantastic news for one of our budding dramanaut stars as Maddie Clark has won a place at the National Youth Theatre and, in doing so, becomes our youngest girl to win a place at the prestigious theatre company.
Maddie joins a long list of QAS girls who have been successful in their auditions for the NYT but, thus far, all of those girls have been sixth formers.
The NYT has in excess of 4,000 auditionees each year with only about 40 places available. She will spend two weeks in the summer working with professional actors and directors alongside other members of the company. Maddie was last seen “treading the vinyl” in the PAC last term in the lead role of “Scenes from Alice”.
QA has been successful at NYT auditions for the past five consecutive years and Caitlin Croke, who won a place last year, is now an Ambassador for the NYT.
