An Excellent Performance by Queen Anne’s Rowers at Radley
Tuesday 13th December 2016
On Sunday 11 December, Mrs Townsend, Mr Morgan and Miss Rutherford took 14 of our Queen Anne’s rowers to their latest fixture at Radley with the aforementioned and Hinksey. They performed outstandingly, doing the school very proud.
The girls’ raced over 3.5Km, which was the longest piece that they have ever done. All the girls raced well and should be very proud of how they did so, especially as they were at a new venue on a completely different stretch of water.
Miss Rutherford was forced to sub in due to an injury and helped her team to a bronze medal. The team consisted of Carla Claussen, Alicia Buckeridge, Charlotte Webb and Miss Rutherford. Congratulations girls!
It was a fantastic fixture and all the girls were in great spirits as they competed on the water.
Congratulations must go to all the girls that took part!
