Boosting Fitness and Team Moral at the Pre-Season Lacrosse Training
Thursday 5th September 2013
The Queen Anne’s Lacrosse teams have enjoyed a boost to their fitness and team moral at the Pre-Season Lacrosse Training held on Wednesday 28 – Friday 30 of August.
Girls were put through their paces by the coaching staff who tailored a plan which included some of the newest performance-enhancing techniques like high intensity interval training (HIIT). Old-fashioned hard work, game play and position specific coaching all contributed to the experience. Participants also received specific advice on nutrition and injury prevention.
At the injury prevention talk, Jessica Roberts, L5, said “The foam roller was a really good idea, I found it really helpful.”. Ms Consiglio, Head of Lacrosse also said “There was a terrific atmosphere and the girls worked very hard. This is a great way to start the competitive season and we will definitely do this again”.
