Queen Anne's Deputy Head Girl to Run 10 Miles For Cousin's Charity

Tuesday 8th October 2013

This October half term, one of Queen Anne’s Deputy Head girls, Katie Chorley, U6, will be running 10 miles in the Great South Run along with her mother and father to raise money for a charity called Kissy Puppy.

Kissy Puppy

Kissy Puppy is a charity set up for Katie’s 5 year old cousin, Sophie Rolf, who will unfortunately be needing end of life care soon as she is suffering from terminal cancer due to an inoperable brain tumour. However, Sophie lives on the Isle of Wight where there is no hospice for children, so she will have to travel 2 and a half hours every day to Winchester to receive the care she needs. Therefore, Katie, her family and 50 of her friends are running 10 miles to raise money to convert a wing of the adults’ hospice on the island to be able to supply for terminally ill children like Sophie.

Katie would be very grateful for any sponsorship, as any amount really does make a difference. If you would like to sponsor Katie, please click here
