On Monday 20 March, Dr. Peter Dennis, Fellow in Philosophy at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Fellow of the Forum for European Philosophy, will give a lecture at Queen Anne’s School on the question ‘Can Computers Think?’ in the Lecture Theatre.
Dr Peter Dennis is a Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Logic, and Scientific Method at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research in epistemology seeks to understand how we come to be justified in our beliefs, and how this relates to our ability (or otherwise) to justify ourselves to those who don’t think like us. He completed his PhD at Reading University in 2013 and his MA is from the University of Paris VIII.
This lecture is open to all students in L5-U6 and staff. If you would like to attend please complete the online form by clicking here.
Any parents who wish to attend should email Dr Jon Beale (email@example.com).
Dr Dennis will also be running Philosophy Masterclasses during the afternoon to A-level Philosophy students.
