On Wednesday 9 November, Queen Anne’s will host a symposium entitled ‘Ethics, Morality and Privacy in Cyberspace – Just Because We Can, Should We?’ for U6, L6 and L5 from Queen Anne’s and UTC Reading as well as other guest schools.
The theme of the day will be ‘just because we can should we’, exploring the ethical conundrums, moral decision processes and technical privacy issue in cyberspace.
Guest speakers include:
Mark Evans – Chief Security Architect for UK Public Sector Practice within Enterprise Security Services, Hewlett and Packard
Professor Marina Jirotka and Dr Helena Webb – Oxford University, who lead the Digital Wildfire project, which is investigating many of these questions we are posing to our students and have a specific remit to develop curriculum and other materials to help young people engage with technology to become “good digital citizens.”
