The recent sunny weather has brought more than just smiles to two girls at Queen Anne's School in Caversham. GCSE Drama student, Annabel Leigh, has spent four days filming a re-make of the film
St Trinians which is currently being made by Ealing Studios. Annabel, aged 14 years, has been working in London and Henley, where much of the filming has been shot. The film stars Hugh Grant.
The recent sunny weather has also brought success for Tess Miles, a sixth form student at Queen Anne’s, who has won a place on the prestigious summer course at the National Youth Theatre in London. During the summer holidays Tess, aged 18 years, who is studying A level Theatre Studies, will spend two weeks working with a professional director at the company's Headquarters in London.
Commenting on the girls achievements Mr Rhodri Punter, Head of Drama, said: "Both Tess and Annabel have been extremely dedicated to the 'dramatic cause' here at Queen Anne's and they really deserve this success."
