Queen Anne's Crest Queen Anne's School Caversham

 Welcome
Welcome to Queen Anne's website.  I hope that you will be inspired to come and visit the school, so that you are able to see for yourself the blend of academic excellence and opportunities for personal growth and development, which make life at Queen Anne’s such an enriching and fulfilling experience.

The school is well-known for encouraging independence and self-reliance in a supportive and nurturing environment.  As we face the challenges of the 21st century, these qualities are vital to enable girls to develop into high achieving individuals, who are able to use their learning to live their lives to the full. With excellent interpersonal skills and the knowledge that their dreams are there for the taking, there are no limits to our girls' potential achievements.   We encourage them to pursue their goals with confidence, dedication and pride.  We celebrate their successes with them as they continue their journey to adulthood.

Public examination results

We were delighted with our public examination results in 2007.  You can view the individual results under our academic section.

The DfES have now published this year’s school performance league tables.  These are based on the percentage of students who gain 5 or more A* to C grades including English and mathematics at GCSE.

Queen Anne’s and many other leading academic independent schools enter the majority of their students for the International GCSE. (IGCSE) in mathematics.  These results are not included in the published statistics.  As a result our overall results of the true performance of our students are not published accurately. This, of course, has a dramatic effect on our position in the published league tables.

Our public examination results in 2007 were excellent producing:

            69%  -  A* - A grades
            92%  -  A* - B grades
            98%  -  A* - C grades
