A Level Fair – Wednesday 7 October

Monday 28th September 2015

On Wednesday 7 October at 6.30pm, pupils and their parents are invited to join us for our annual A Level Fair, taking place in the Morgan Sports Hall.

This is a great event where pupils and their parents are able to find out more about the A Level subjects we have on offer as well learn more about the exciting and varied life in Queen Anne’s Sixth Form.

Hear from our experts which include Dr Val Vincent, Director of Sixth Form, on understanding the changes within the A Level system, Mr Mark Richards, Deputy Head, on choosing the right A Levels and the number that you should be considering and Dr Dawn Bellamy, Assistant Head – Senior School, who will talk a little more about the new Centre as well as the exciting opportunities that are also available throughout the two years at Queen Anne’s.

Other ‘experts’ also include our girls themselves. Some of our Upper Sixth will be talking to you about the things that you might not have already known about Sixth Form life. It’s a great opportunity to ask them some questions as well.

This year, we will also be giving you the opportunity to find out more about the New Sixth Form Centre which will be opening in September 2016 which your girls will be the first to use! Come and see some of the bespoke learning facilities that will be included within the centre as well see how the flexible learning spaces will be used in a mock Economics Flipped Learning lesson.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet our A Level subject teachers who will be on hand to discuss potential subjects in more detail. We hope this will be an extremely busy event so if you are unsure about whether the subject is right for your daughter we recommend that you make an appointment to see their current subject teacher post the event so we can dedicate the appropriate time.

We hope that pupils and parents will enjoy an informative evening and go away with a really clear idea of what life is like as a Sixth Former at Queen Anne’s.
