Sunshine, Style and Smiles at the Spring Fayre

Monday 31st March 2014

What a glorious sunny day it was! The Spring Fayre definitely adds to the wonderful community spirit that we are so fortunate to have at Queen Anne’s and was an event that both girls and parents enjoyed together.

The cake stall, tombola and wine stalls were a huge hit, as well as the sophisticated jewellery and beautiful shoes and handbags. There was something for everyone and we are sure that there were lots of happy mums the next day on Mother’s Day. There was an ongoing queue for this year’s addition of the photobooth – the girls (and some parents!) loved dressing up in funky hats and quirky sunglasses and squeezing into the booth for fun group photos.

The dads vs girls lax match was truly entertaining and offered a wonderful excuse to wander outside and enjoy the barbecue and the sunshine.

The Fayre showed the school at its best! A huge thank you to everyone who made the event possible by donating items, helping on stalls, assisting with set up and the clear up.

But most of all, this event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our wonderful parents association (QASPA) and special thanks to Annette Miller who never ceases to amaze us with her energy, enthusiasm and commitment. A huge thank you!

Written by Mrs Irina Woodford, Alumni Relations

QASPA have raised approximately £4,000 from the Spring Fayre which will go towards the school’s chosen charities Tutudesks and Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP).
