Singing praise for Lydia

Lydia Marshall, U5, has received a commendation after entering The Ann Lampard Singing Prize at The Royal Academy of Music. Lydia performed in the intermediate section of the prestigious singing competition which is specifically for Junior Academy singers on Saturday 11 May.
Lydia, who is the youngest singer at the Academy, sang ‘Music for a While’ by Purcell and ‘Un Motto Di Giola by Mozart. Following her audition, she received high praise from the adjudicator Nicholas Sears, Head of Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music who described her voice as “quite unique“.
Lydia then went on to give a brilliant clarinet solo performance in another concert.
