Rob Wilson MP Congratulates Giulia Gibbons, Winner of ITN Work Experience of a Lifetime

Wednesday 12th June 2013

On Monday 10 June, Rob Wilson MP came to Queen Anne’s School to meet and congratulate Giulia Gibbons, L6,  who has won the opportunity to work behind the scenes with an ITN Production film crew.  The award is part of LifeSkills, created with Barclays, which aims by 2015 to equip one million young people with the skills they need for work and connect them with work experience opportunities.

Rob Wilson MP said “I was impressed by Giulia’s long-held interest in journalism and her obvious enthusiasm fostered in part by her work on the school’s radio station.  I am sure she will make the most of this exciting opportunity to learn on the job with ITN Productions.”

Giulia takes up her week’s work experience during LifeSkills Work Week starting on Monday 17 June 2013. Giulia said “I’m just so excited to have been given this opportunity and get to experience working alongside the crew at ITN Productions.  I’ve always been interested in the media so to actually meet and learn from the team at ITN Productions is a dream come true.  I’m sure it is going to be an amazing experience, which I hope will help me in whatever I do in the future.  My friends are so jealous, I can’t wait to share what I’ve learnt with them.”
